The Yea Wetlands Boardwalk Mat is designed by Victorian Aboriginal artist Annette Sax, Creative Director of Yarn Strong Sista.
Annette developed the ‘Felt Yea Wetlands Boardwalk Mat’ based on her experience of taking her daughter Kiella out to the Yea Wetlands on Taunurung Country. Along their walk Annette teaches Kiella the cultural knowledge that has been shared to her by her Elders about bush tucker.

Add the Yarn Strong Sista ‘Buch Tucker Surprise Box’ (BTB100) which includes extention ideas around healthy lifestyle and will inspire you to learn more about Aboriginal culture.
Educators can add rocks, bark, leaves and other recycled materials as a small play experience. In addition, add ‘Woollen Rope Family (WRF100)’, ‘Small Blue Fish Set (SBF10)’ and ‘Mother and Baby Koala Set (KM200)’ as pictured to promote imaginative play.
