Handa’s Surprise

This story is set in Kenya and introduces children to East African culture and a different way of life.

Handa puts seven delicious fruits in a basket to take to her friend, Akeyo.

As she walks she is unaware that different animals are taking various fruits from the basket which she carries on her head.

When she arrives at her friends village she is very surprised at what is in her basket!
