Mother and Baby Magpie

Felted in Nepal through Fairtrade, Yarn Strong Sista design.

The free standing felt Barwung, Magpie in the Taungurung language is approx. 18cm tall.

The majority of its colouring is black with white contrasting down its back and under the wing. The black stitching wraps itself around Barwung’s body adding a sense of texture and layering to the bird’s appearance.
